What this page shows
The address is the one your request came from. Country, city and provider come from a geolocation database rather than from you. If you are behind a proxy, this is the exit node's address, not your own.
Why the city is often wrong
IP geolocation reflects where an address range is registered, not where the device physically is. Mobile carriers and large ISPs often route through a node in another city, so being a few hundred kilometres off is normal. Country is reliable; city is an estimate.

Why does my IP address change on its own?
Most home and mobile ISPs hand out dynamic addresses from a shared pool, reassigned on reconnect or on a timer. A fixed address is usually a paid add-on.
What can someone learn about me from my IP?
Country, rough region, provider and connection type. Your name and street address are not derivable from an IP — only your provider holds that, and discloses it only to authorities.
What is the difference between IPv4 and IPv6?
IPv4 looks like 203.0.113.10 and is scarce, which makes it expensive. IPv6 looks like 2001:db8::1, is effectively unlimited, and costs considerably less at the same speed.
